The name DivaTink?
Where does the name "Diva Tink" come from? Well it is actually shorten from "Para Diva Tink".
Para - for paragliding
Diva - cuz duh I am one!
Tink - Tinkerbell
When I first started flying 8 years ago a friend decided that he would give me my Call Tag, as many pilots do. He gave me a bear bell, attached it to my harness so that every time I was on the ground it would jiggle just a bit. It made me sound like Tinkerbell. Over the years the name was shorten to just Tink.
About 4 years ago, a group of female pilots and friends decided that we needed a group of our own, Paragliding being mostly dominated by men. We came up with the name ParaDivas, and we all have a nickname attached to the end! I became ParaDivaTink!
